About MASMA





Purpose: to facilitate communication and best practices about social marketing to and with practitioners and researchers in MA
The Massachusetts Social Marketing Association (MASMA) serves as the primary portal for social marketing in the state of Massachusetts. The only professional organization for social marketers in Massachusetts, MASMA provides opportunities for obtaining and improving skills and resources, sharing information, lessons learned, ideas, as well as networking. MASMA is a volunteer-run organization that supports knowledge exchange among both practitioners and researchers. MASMA is open to ideas and invites people to submit resources, case studies, and information to this site.
MASMA was founded in early 2005. The Steering Committee met monthly to set goals, plan events, and develop initiatives. In 2008 we decided to reorganize and one of our Steering Committee members became the Director.
